Dieter Früauff
About the artist
Dieter Früauff lives and works in Rheinhessen. His studio mainly produces project and concept works. These arise on different levels, from different perspectives and different impressions. Traveling creates "spontaneous" works, works that trigger a reaction, often in combination with "livepainting". "Livepainting" refers to an art form that emerges live in direct surroundings and engagement with the art object. Früauff creates these works based on movements in dance, theatre and music performances. He concentrates on the human encounters in a group or the interaction of individual peoples.
The artist's works are often snapshots that reveal and explore form and movement. Depending on the result of these observations, larger projects result. The material focus in the works is on the use of watercolors, complemented and mixed with acrylic, charcoal, chalk, ink and natural colors on materials with their own history, such as paper, cardboard, newspapers, bags and books from various countries and regions.
