Hans Joachim Feulner - ANΠO
About the artist
Hans Joachim Feulner, alias Anπo, was born in Enchenreuth im Frankenwald, 1958. He studied at the University of Würzburg / Schweinfurth and graduated with Dipl.-Ing (FH) in architecture. Since his early youth he was fascinated by painting. He tried the most diverse techniques. While studying, Joachim Feulner developed a new painting technique. He combines tempering paints, which he himself produces, with oil and dispersion paints. As pigments for egg tempera, he takes water-soluble wood pickling and thus achieves unimagined color effects. He calls this painting technique, color plastic. In a period of 20 years, Anπo perfected this technique. In the meantime, he has come from the representational depiction to color-abstraction.
