Jan Christian Altmann

About the artist

Jan Christian Altmann (born 18 November 1991 in Bad Oldesloe, Germany) is a child of the 90s and a German artist.

After a twelve-year school run, a three-year apprenticeship as a real estate salesman, followed by two years of professional experience in the real estate sector, he turned his back on the system and the uniform.

Since 2015, Jan Christian Altmann has been living and working again in Bargteheide. There he devotes himself to his studio of modern, abstract and contemporary art. His work is deepened by a communication design study at Kunstschule Wandsbek (Art school of Wandsbek). Some of his works have already been exhibited in several local exhibitions.

His works include graffiti, stencil techniques, painting, collages and sculptures. His main focus is on religions, politics, the entire human image and the related hierarchies, personalities of society and world history, equal rights and opportunities.

Jan Christian Altmann has a taste for neon colors. With his works he would like to have thought-provoking art and inspirational impulses. Neon colors scream for attention. Everything must be questioned and clear statements must be reviewed critically. For him, art is limitless, cannot be evaluated and is uncontrolled. Art is the best and most unrivaled medium of communication.
